Therapeutic Play Sessions        and Family Support

Supporting children's social-emotional wellbeing through child-centered play therapy approaches and partnering with families to strengthen connection and understanding

My therapeutic approach is grounded in child-centred play therapy, where play itself is the primary mechanism of change and healing. Each child leads the way in their therapeutic journey, determining the pace and focus of our work together.

I specialise in neurodiversity-affirming therapy with autistic children, children with ADHD, and children with global developmental delay. Neurodivergence is understood as natural neurological variation, not a deficit. I adapt therapeutic approaches to align with each child's unique neurotype, communication style, sensory needs, and processing preferences, never requiring masking or conformity to neurotypical expectations.

My work focuses on supporting identified mental health and wellbeing needs such as anxiety, regulation challenges, relational difficulties, trauma, identity development, and self-worth, not on changing who your child is. I do not use compliance-based interventions or approaches that require children to suppress their authentic neurological expression. Instead, therapy centres each child's strengths, voice, and capacity to navigate the world in ways that honour their authentic self.

Therapeutic Play Sessions

Play Themes and Relational Connection

Through child-led play, we observe and honour your child's natural interests, communication style, and ways of connecting. Together, we explore what brings your child joy, comfort, and a sense of safety, recognising these as strengths and pathways for therapeutic growth

Regulation and Emotional Awareness

Support your child in developing awareness of their internal experiences and body signals. Through co-regulation and playful practice, children build capacity to understand their emotions, recognize what they need, and develop strategies that feel authentic and effective for them.

Behaviour Support: Understanding Communication and Needs

Support your child in understanding what their behaviours communicate about their needs, experiences, and feelings. Together, we explore what supports help your child feel safe, regulated, and connected in daily experiences.

School Support and Advocacy

Support to families and schools to create environments where your child can participate authentically and feel supported. This includes identifying needed accommodations, understanding your child's learning and social needs, and advocating for systems that honor neurodivergent ways of being.

Sensory Awareness and Support

Understand your child's unique sensory profile and preferences. Learn how to create environments and supports that honour your child's sensory needs, reduce overwhelm, and support regulation and comfort.

Family Support

Attuned Connection and Understanding

Learn to recognise your child's unique communication and connection attempts, which may look different from neurotypical expressions. Develop attunement skills that help you respond to your child's bids for connection in ways that honour their authentic self and strengthen your relationship.

Care Coordination and Advocacy

Receive guidance and advocacy support to coordinate services, navigate systems, and create a comprehensive support network that centres your child's and family's identified needs and values.

Interactive Workshops

Participate in hands-on workshops focused on emotion regulation and effective play techniques with your child.
